When it is to dress for Oscars, sky truly has no limits. Unlimited styles, vivid designs, varied combinations and much more could be brought to the red carpet. The sole purpose of efforts is to present the best when walk down the red carpet.
The designer gowns, matching shoes, classy hairdos, sophisticated makeup, designer handbags and opulent jewelry, all are the essentials of a perfect Oscars dress-up. This year fashion world has been going for less jewelry. Instead of stuffing bold and heavy baubles, the stars have been choosing for simple and soft combinations of earrings, rings, necklaces and cuffs.
Unlike Golden Globes, the Oscars red carpet was strictly spotted very few baubles. The major shine was conveyed by diamonds followed by emeralds, sapphires and rubies. Earrings were the most enjoyed style which was either combined with broad cuffs or bold rings and sometimes with antique necklaces.
The most praised earrings were Viola Davis’s diamond and emerald teardrops and Berenice Bejo’s long drop emerald earrings. Along with the emerald baubles the simple diamond drops of Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Jessica Chastain also received much appreciation. The flower diamond studs of Penelope Cruz were another talk of the town. Tina Fey’s sapphire chandeliers and Leslie Mann’s emerald-cut sapphire drops were other beauties at the red carpet.
Many celebs only picked earrings while few had paired them with rings and cuffs. Some stepped without earrings but they compensated it through rings and cuffs or necklaces.
Diamond chokers were also in abundance. Michelle Williams, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz were the picture of poise in diamond choker necklaces.
With so much of brilliance and colors, 84th Academy Awards became a much remembered ceremony. and though jewelry was minimal yet the presence of those few sparkles dazzled the entire gala!
